Changing

imageHow many ladies here are are married? Ah . . . I see lots of hands raised. And how many of you ladies married Mr. Not-Quite-Perfect, but thought you could fix those pesky one or two little flaws? Didn’t happen, did it?

And how many of you men out there in the blogosphere are mystified as to why your blushing bride started trying to change you before the rice had hardly settled? You probably wonder why she married you in the first place; after all, she knew what you were like before she said “I do.”

I don’t claim to understand this anomaly, but I do know it’s real.

A few years ago, I happened upon a song on YouTube told from the man’s point of view regarding change. It’s a good song with a good beat, and the words, well, just give them particular attention as you listen.

Awesome dancing included . . .

  1. Good song, great dancing. As I’ve told many now ex-friends when I warned them not to marry who they married: “men think women will never change, and women think they can change their men”, but it’s exactly opposite. Women are constantly changing, and men hardly change at all. “Pull my finger hear me roar just like 10,000 times before…”

  2. That was a great song, Cathy. Really said a lot. My experience has been women want to change the men right from the get go, and men hate that women start changing right from the get go ( cuz they get busy trying to change the guy. Usually neither ends up real crazy about the other Lol. That was a great video too.

    • Yeah, that’s just how it is. Both young men and young women have a lot of growing up to do before they realize that fundamental difference of the sexes–among others.
The funniest thing I’ve heard regarding our difference was said by George Carlin (and I paraphrase here). There are only two things you need to know about men and women: men are stupid, and women are crazy. And women are crazy because men are stupid. šŸ˜€
